As if a musical maven's wet dream come true, HT takes all the pop sensibility of The Cure, layers all the grungy guitars predicated by Dinosaur Jr., and ultimately evokes the simple sincerity of sound first brought to us by The Beatles, at a speed of sound similar to The Sex Pistols. All in seven satisfying tracks that time in at three minutes or less each (five are actually two and a half or less), these are All Songs by Human Television. With a debut this good, let's hope that it's just some of their songs and not all of them.
