On the surface, the Lynn Paul Jr. Band may sound like a really rockin' bar band. But there is more to them than just a soundtrack to a few drinks. Almost hair metal without the hair and with only half the cheese, they have a classic rock machismo and a sense of humor that would fit in well with the playlist on Little Steven Van Zandt's radio show. Good ol' rock 'n' roll that you can sing along and dance to. No pretension, no hipster posturing, just good clean fun over a swig of beer. This is almost the exact opposite of the prefab pop music out there today. And you thought alternative music was dead. Brad Filicky |
