extrabluekind - the tide and the undertow
Extrabluekind
The Tide and the Undertow
Opulent Records

Extrabluekind plays trend-free guitar-based pop not seen since the heyday of alternarock and the glory days of 120 Minutes on MTV. Indie rock is rarely this unpretentious. Tight, energetic and guilt-free pop songs, these have subtly aggressive guitars and vocals full of longing, compelling the listener to come along for the journey. And the musicians themselves are approachable enough for the listener to feel like they are on that journey with close friends, rather than poseur rock stars or uber-hipsters.
