sandpaper - self-titled EP
Sandpaper
Self-Titled EP
Self-released

They're roots-rockers, it's true, but before you get your cute little emo face all twisted up in a smirking, derisive twitch over Sandpaper, ask yourself these five little questions:

1. Do you have an urge for a good, simple, consistent toe-tapping rhythm ("Some Keys")?
2. Do you dig a substantial groove even the most die-hard R&B fans would kick it to ("Long Gone")?
3. Have you ever felt a bit nostalgic over a sweet classic country lovesong ("I Wish I'd Never Met You, But I'd Do It Again")?
4. Do you like mysterious, languid tunes jazzed up with a funky little melody a la Morphine ("Drift")?
5. Do you think a full, throaty bass line can make or break a song ("Room For You")?

Did you answer "yes" to three or more of the above queries? Yes, you said? Well, yes, yes, yes!!! Give these local NYC boys a chance in hell to prove they've got a little something for everybody, even the hippest of hipsters.
