Smallspace
No Matter
Speedywagon Records

Smallspace's Pink Floyd-meets-Radiohead musings are a producer's wet dream and a sound junkie's fix. Warm electronic effects and technical guitar flourishes make for a dense sound that never sounds busy. The sound layers fit together to build impressive music sculptures rather than work against each other. It's obvious the guys in the band have a keen eye for production and love messing around with sound, but the song always comes first. Deft song craft is never sacrificed for the sake of having a nifty sound pop up. That is what makes Smallspace truly talented.
