something for rockets - self-titled
Something For Rockets
Self-titled
Self-released

Dance rock is back in vogue. From Franz Ferdinand to The Killers and VHS Or Beta, rock bands making music you can dance to are all over the airwaves and the public consciousness. Something For Rockets borrow a bit from that sound. You can shake your ass to this music, but it also has a pinch of indie rock attitude. Perhaps the closest one can come to describing them to is Pulp - if Pulp spent most of their time in America instead of the UK. Or maybe OMD without the descent into cheesiness. These guys would not sound out of place playing the Hacienda club in the early 90's. I advise checking this band out before they realize they are too cool for school.
