It'd be easy to label Vulpine as metal. The heavy riffs and dense drumming are a kick in the teeth. But at heart Vulpine is a rock band. Sure the guitars are aggressive and the vocals are as angry as pit bull with an infected tooth, but vocalist Hatch actually sings just as much as he screams, and the music is a little too accessible to be straight ahead metal. Channels is a pretty radio friendly album, and it may not be anything you haven't heard before, but the songs will stay with you long after the disc has stopped spinning.
