Self-released

Smart, snazzy pop tunes with just a hint of the desire to make it to the big time sets this trio off as one of the most likeable bands in Brooklyn. One minute, lead singer and songwriter Todd Satterfield is channeling the heroin-soaked sadness of Elliott Smith; the next, he's catching a carefree wave with California surfer-boy Brian Wilson.

Jangly and most innocently catchy, the album floats on through all nine tracks seemingly without error, but will probably drag plenty of air on its rise to critical acclaim.
